The JP Morgan School Insight Day was a one-day programme that gave students an understanding of the investment banking industry and the different roles within the firm at the Bournemouth site.
Most of the jobs at Bournemouth are in technology and operations and this was a focus throughout the day. There were talks from a variety of people, including graduate trainees and senior management, talking about their various roles, and the opportunities available at JP Morgan. The students experienced a series of interactive presentations, skills building sessions and networking. The skills building sessions were often team based activities, which gave the students an opportunity to demonstrate the employability skills that a company, such as JP Morgan, are looking for. It was a highly valuable day for the students, who got to see what it is like to work for the biggest private employer in Dorset, and what it takes to succeed in a multinational company.
