Sixth Formers try their hand at life drawing

12 of our Year 13’s took part in University style life drawing sessions at Arts University Bournemouth, giving them valuable experience in further education.

On Tuesday, the 21st February the Art and Design Department took 12 Year 13 students to Bournemouth Arts University to take part in a Life Drawing workshop. All students are studying one of the Art and Design subjects and have applied to do the Foundation Course at the University, after their A Levels. The experience of drawing directly from the human form and working in a University studio really added to the day, all students got so much from the experience and produced some amazing studies.

‘The experience of working in a University Art studio and working with one of their tutors really enhanced the atmosphere and feel for University life. We learnt so much from the drawing experience, making us look and observe the human figure in more depth and enhance our own styles and skills as artist/designers.’    Mollie, Year 13
